Nottingham Two opinions

I am moving into my accommodation at Nottingham in a week and would appreciate any experiences from people who are currently living in Nottingham Two or have previously within the last couple of years. I have heard there are a lot of silverfish issues and problems with mouldy kitchenware such as cupboards and wardrobes. Apparently this accom isn't as diverse and harder to "find your people".

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, @RonakTyagi !

I lived in st peters court which is nearby but I have friends that stayed in Notts 2. In my opinion I think it is quite diverse, in every flat there is a mix of people unless a single gendered flat is requested. If you don't 'find your people' in your flat, there are Res X events that can happen at your accommodation that are free of charge that you can go to 🙂 and there are lots of cultural societies and other societies that potentially suit your interests that you can join [highly recommend joining a couple].

The bathroom is a wet room so there is no enclosed shower unfortunately so the water does kind of go everywhere in the bathroom, which is where silver fish can be an issue. To avoid this I'd clean regularly and ventilate through the extractor fan. From what I saw in my first year some of the rooms do have an old and worn down look to them, mostly walls though, and if you are not happy with your room you can request maintenance assistance and see what they can do.

I hope you enjoy Notts 2 and if there are any more questions Id be happy to help
