TSA score for PPE oxford

Hi, Im an international applicant applying to Oxford PPE this year. I would like to hear ur thought on the statistics I found interesting on the internet:

According to this date, there were someone who got 88 but wasnt shortlisted for the interview last year. Why do you guys this this happens?

Oxford tutors should (and probably do) consider all relevant factors when assessing candidates for undergraduate places. Tutors are not looking for exam robots. They are looking for students who appear likely to do well in the tutorial system. Oxford Dons are human, so they sometimes mistakenly admit students whom they should not have admitted, and they sometimes mistakenly reject students whom they should not have rejected. Maybe you were one of the latter. Maybe not. Who knows?

How can we know why without seeing that candidate’s complete application in the light of everyone else who applied? Perhaps there were significant weaknesses somewhere else. Perhaps there were significant strengths in other people’s applications even though they had a lower TSA score. The process is not an algorithm.
