WTW Graduate Scheme 2026

I'm in the process of applying to WTW for their actuarial schemes for a 2026 start. They advertise locations as separate applications (Leeds, Manchester, etc.). Has anyone applied before and knows if you can apply for more than one location (+ if you can apply for both retirement and P&C/life)?

Or if anyone generally has tips for actuarial/WTW applications, I'd be very grateful!

Hi, I also applied 2026 Retirement Actuarial Graduate Trainee Consultant Programme, but I found this program has been closed, replaced by 2026 Actuarial Insurance Consulting Graduate Programme, Property & Casualty or Life - Reigate/London/Cambridge. Does this suggest that retirement is no longer considered?

The official website states: "Due to the large number of applications we receive, we encourage candidates to apply to only one position per recruitment cycle to avoid duplications at the interview stage."

Thank you I hadn't spotted that!

I'm not sure about London, but I applied to the retirement programme in Leeds for 2026 and that was still open?

It has been closed for Leeds.

Oh that's weird, but it's definitely still coming up as open for me on both the gradcracker and WTW page.

I applied for retirement actuary in Edinburgh the evening before it closed, which is crazy as it was only open for 8 days! How did everyone find the HireVue assessment? Really can’t tell what would be enough to get an interview (which I’m guessing will be held pretty early as they’ve started closing applications already?).

Do you guys have any update? I found my application status has changed to "under review" (I think it was "under consideration" before, probably I'm wrong).

Definitely don't quote me on this, but from what I saw in older threads, some people’s applications went from “under consideration” to “not selected” if their online test score wasn’t high enough, so probably rejected automatically. If it says “under review,” it might mean you passed that first check and now someone’s actually looking at your application.

I also emailed the helpdesk to ask why some locations (Leeds, Edinburgh, etc.) closed after just a week, whether it’s because they already hit their quota of applications or if those locations aren’t being considered anymore. I haven’t had a response yet, and it might take a while🥲

I emailed them last Monday, still no reply until now, but my status has been changed to "under review". So I think they are still considering.

Thank you so much for your explanation, that means I have passed the video interview?

I think it means you’ve passed the initial AI checks and now an actual member of staff is reviewing your application, so it’s not a final yes/no verdict yet. That’s just my take though, I could be wrong!

Do you have any tips for the on demand interview. I just wanted to know if there are any psychometric test aspects

It’s not psychometric, it’s just a couple of quick numerical reasoning questions followed by the video interview. You can find some past questions on Glassdoor that are often similar to what you might get (3 minutes per question), but I think everyone gets slightly different ones, all on the same theme. Good luck! Which office did you apply for?

Okay that doesn’t sound too bad, I hate this stage of applications it makes me so nervous. I’m applying for the Birmingham office but tbh I don’t really mind being based anywhere

Do you guys have any update this week? Yeh, I found they opened 2026 Retirement Actuarial Graduate Trainee Consultant Programme for Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester. It' weird they closed London and leeds that early.
