Hi,
I’d recommend the iPad Air for taking notes and annotating lecture slides. It’s fast, reliable, and has plenty of storage. Using it with the Apple Pencil makes handwriting and marking up slides much easier. The 11’ inch model is portable for moving around campus, though some students prefer the larger 13’ inch screen.
Visiting an Apple Store is a good way to see which model and size feel right for you.
