Student loans

My son is applying for a student loan and any extra funding he can get but my wife is worried that if he drops out of university we'll be responsible for repaying any loans. I don't think that's correct but I want to put her mind at rest. Please help if you can. Thanks

Hi there. No, the loan debt goes to the student. They would only enter repayment once they are in employment and earning over the threshold. More info on repayment can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/repaying-your-student-loan/which-repayment-plan-you-are-on

Thanks, Leah.

Thank you very much Leah. I thought that was the case but I wanted to put my wife's mind at ease.
