Can I take chemistry a-level without maths?

I am currently at the start of year 12 and taking 4 subjects and an epq however, I feel this is too much work. I would like to drop one subject - maybe maths - but I’m wondering if I can do well (ideally get an a*) in a level chemistry without maths. For reference, I got a 9 in both maths and chemistry at gcse.

You have a high GCSE grade, you'll be fine.

You don't need maths for chem a-level. I self taught myself chem during my gap year and hadn't done maths in college so it was my first time doing maths since GCSEs. The maths in chem is just re-arranging formula and converting from dm to cm etc. (for AQA it was anyways).

Regardless of which exam board you are with, this will summarise all the maths you need.

You can absolutely do A level chemistry and achieve top grades in it without A level maths, though I would say it is helpful to do A level maths as well purely for the extra practice with stuff like rearranging formulae, extracting useful information from a graph etc. However, 4 A levels + an epq is too much work. Weighing up the effort and the reward, I would agree you should aim to drop one subject and ideally one that isn’t part of the entry requirements for whatever you want to do post A levels.
