Urgent! Dentistry Work Experience

Hi I'm currently in year 12 and am struggling to find in person dentla work experience. Has anyone previously got in person work experience anywhere in Birmingham? If so could you please tell me the name of the clinic. Thanks

hi i didn’t do wex in birmingham, i did mine in london, so i can’t give specific clinic names but the way i found my wex last year was literally by calling every single clinic near me (around 8). all of them said no because of covid apart from one, which asked for my personal statement (to see that i’m serious) and allowed me to start the week after. i know it sounds silly maybe but it’s always worth a shot. you only need one to say yes.

Did they want a uni personal statement? I've only just started year 12 so that might be a struggle

i didn’t think so. the lady on the phone (owner of the clinic) didn’t specify and i thought since it’s only for wex it doesn’t have to be perfect. like these aren’t uni admissions teachers yk? they just wanna see some semblance of passion and cleverness. being completely honest i chatgped it for the skeleton and tweaked it a little after (bc i wouldve only had 2 days to write it). it was only 200 words. she didn’t even end up checking it.
it’s similar to how when you apply online for some work experiences they ask you to write like 200-300 words on why you want to do it yk?
