Which laptop is good for uni?

I am trying to get a laptop not too expensive. I found the following and I am wondering if they are good for assignment, taking notes, have many tabs open, and maybe play video games sometimes.

- HP Pavilion Plus 14-ew1501sa 14" Ultra 5
- HP ENVY x360 14" 2-in-1 AMD Ryzen 5
- HP OmniBook 7 AI 14" Ultra 7
- HP Pavilion SE 14-ep0529sa 14" i5 (this one has 8GB RAM)
- HP Pavilion x360 14-ek1511sa 14" 2 in 1 i3 (this one has 8GB RAM aswell)

I think 16GB is better but not sure? Which one would be good? Any recommendations would be great, thanks ☺️

Good afternoon,

Generally speaking, universities suggest a laptop with a 14-16-inch screen, as this decreases eye strain. Additionally, you want something you can carry in your bag, so something lighter is always best, e.g. not a gaming laptop as these are typically heavier.

I have the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 as it is able to be a laptop and tablet, providing flexibility for writing and typing. These dual laptop tablets are more pricey but worth the investment. Additionally, second-hand laptops tend to be just as good but for a lower price, so I recommend looking into this.

I hope this information helps, and you are able to make an informed decision. If you have any more questions, please let me know.

All the best,
Ella
