Usually for any language A-Level you would need to study a film and a literature work or two literature works I believe. For example I am doing A-Level German and for this we are studying a movie in class and we will read a book and study both of them - as in analyse in full detail.
Also self studying will be very hard for this very reason. You won't know exactly what to analyse from the movie for example and it can be very difficult in the exams. I don't know if there are many resources for Persian?
But maybe you could learn it with an external place like a language institute and then get examined outside of your school I'm not sure but it's going to be a tough journey for sure!
I got a 9 (271/280) on my GCSE German and I can say that A-Level languages are a HUGE jump especially because there are so many new topics such as war and just things you wouldn't necessarily talk about very often (or ever if I'm being honest). It's essentially English Literature and History GCSE but in A-Level in another language!
Hopefully you can find good resources and do amazing in your A-Level!

hey again. i don’t do persian a level coz my school doesn’t offer it but I do german instead. you need to find the exam board that you want to do then check the specification. for example in german we’re doing edexcel and we have the option of studying 1 film and 1 literature work or 2 literature works and we’re doing the first option. hope this helps

yes in persian its the exact same, obviously the works are different but it follows the same structure. what i wanted to know was; what sorts of things do you look out for when analysing for example a book? do you look at key characters, intentions, so forth.

yea we look at the characters, the main scenes, the relationships between the characters, the film techniques (Filmtechnike) such as camera shots and the different angles and also the intention of the producer/ writer.
we just had a class exam on bildanalyse and Schlüsselszene (photo analysis which was basically abt the characters) and the main scenes.
what works r you gonna be studying for persian

i mean lwk u can ask chatgpt to help. for the essay learn an intro and a conclusion that u can use for any question for example
Intro that you can use for any question:
the film ... by the producer ... discusses many main ideas. firstly it discusses the post war era (for example). additionally it portrays the character development of googoosh (for example) through fattaneh... (then write anything else you will discuss). in this essay i will analyse (question focus). then start with your essay
But obviously not in English for u but in Farsi
is the book interesting?? coz in German we have to study a book about this man metamorphosing into an insect 😭

but yea i was planning to use chatgpt to memorise key points but im js scared in the exam i’ll lack depth, would you say you elaborate on your points a significant amount in ur essays? like how you would in gcse english

yesss kafka! we haven’t started reading it yet tho coz we’re still analyzing the movie.
you need to be SUPER in depth w all the analysing. like elaborate on each point and say everything you can about that point.
it’s basically english lit gcse level analysis (but obv w a level languages they have a word count).
also how’d gcses go for u. did u do persian gcse?
