Optometry help ?? At Leicester

Uni of Leicester are starting an Moptom degree but they said it’s subject to approval I really want to go there . They are saying their start date is September 2026 but ucas is saying there not taking any applications . Do you think there is any possibility of them getting approval before the Application deadline cuz leicester are saying that the deadline for optom is 14th of Jan yet they aren’t letting anyone make an application???? Mind games

I also saw that Leicester has opened an optometry course, and I’m really interested in studying optometry. I’m not sure if Leicester is a good university, especially since I live in Bristol and have no idea about Leicester university. If they do open applications, do you think it would be worth applying? Would you consider Leicester a good uni? I honestly have no idea and could use some advice.
