Chemistry A Level Dilemma

I just started year 13 and after doing my AS levels in year 12 (i’m welsh so we do them aswell as A levels) i don’t know if i want to continue with chemistry, that would leave me with maths, further maths and welsh bacc (predicted A*AA). i don’t enjoy chemistry anymore however by dropping it it limits the university’s i want to go to as some don’t accept welsh bacc in place as an a level, which im not too worried however i just want other people’s opinions (chem i got a high C at as level)

Hi @tvclla

I did Chemistry A-Level. I found that the content in the second year was very different to the first year so would recommend that you have a look at your syllabus to see if it is the same for you. Chemistry can be quite a difficult A-Level so it is definitely worth considering whether you enjoy it enough to put the revision in to get a good grade.

I would recommend having a look at the universities and courses that you might be interested in going to and checking what subject requirements they have to make sure that you will be able to apply for what you want to do.

Hope that helps!
