Super curricular - English at Cambridge

School has began to offer various super curricular activities and was wondering which ones would best suit me as a student who wants to do English at Cambridge.

Options:
- EPQ
- UN/Debate club
- Arts award Gold (done arts award silver)
- Mock trails

I’m doing Psychology, Drama, and English literature, in case you wanted to recommend something else which suits my options better.
Cambs published this list of super-curriculars by subject. It's from 2020 but given the nature of a lot of it, most will still be relevant).

Annoyingly they blanked out this page which I think was more up to date.

i found an epq incredibly useful even though a lot of people say oxbridge don't consider it! the research skills it gives you are so useful if you want to enter essay competitions later on and i think that it's such a good way to show passion for your subject (and it helps you work out what you're passionate about!)

An EPQ will teach you essay writing skills, which will be very useful for English.

Debate Club may be helpful, though, as it teaches you to properly articulate your thoughts and ideas (persuasive writing).

So I suggest doing one or both of these. Hope this helps 😊
