Chances of getting into Cambridge Uni for Engineering

If i got 4 A stars, somehow good super curriculars (maybe an EPQ in something engineer related, decent interview would i have a good chance at getting into Cambridge for engineering? I also have an 8 in gcse maths not a 9 and i would probably struggle finding engineering related work experience and making physical projects

You appear to be a credible candidate, the GCSE in isolation might raise an eyebrow but if you meet the minimum GCSE prerequisites then you’re probably going to be ok assuming you have generally strong GCSEs across the board, I would ask at an open day pragmatically about the GCSE.

Everyone struggles for work experience, universities don’t want to recruit based on nepotism so they will be understanding, you can find virtual work experience online for free though.
