Hi I did economics classics and history and I am going to study history, I’m on a gap year now but got A*A*A and a B in my EPQ! I liked the city of Edinburgh and will go to the open day for sure, I’ve seen that apparently Edinburgh student satisfaction is the lowest in the uk so that’s a bit worrying but it’s ranked high so it’s probably fine,

I’m applying through the Adult Returner route and aiming for Product Design at Edinburgh, since I love how the course balances creativity, experimentation, and real-world design. Edinburgh is my first choice, I couldn’t make it to Open Days but I’ve been following the online exhibitions which are really inspiring. Still waiting for the outcome, but feeling excited and motivated to hopefully start next year!

Anyone doing illustration here? or just generally creative subjects? It’s been my goal for a while now but i was talking to someone at my college who recently dropped out of the course and she said it’s seriously underfunded.
Have As in higher english, maths, hbio, graphcom, and art and doing advanced art this year but don’t have predictions yet, and i’m applying cause it’s a fairly good school and i won’t have to move house for it lol
Also applying to dundee and glasgow but glasgow doesn’t have a specific illustration course plus i hear the state of things is not great there (i mean where is it not lol)

I was considering applying during S5, but I think I might wait until next year as I'm still not sure whether I want to study Lit and History or Lit and Religious Studies (if anyone has any advice for how I can decided I'd definitely appreciate it).

I got straight A's in my National 5s, which were English, maths, history, modern studies, RMPS, biology, and French.

This year (S5), I'm aiming for straight A1's in my Highers, which are English, history, modern studies, classical studies, and business management. Sadly, studying Higher RMPS this year isn't an option due to the teacher being on maternity leave, which is another reason why I might put off applying.

I love the look of both of Edinburgh's courses that I'm interested in, and a great bonus is that I'd be able to live at home (I'm immunosuppressed, so moving away for uni isn't ideal).

The other unis that I'm interested in depends on the course (for example, I like St Andrews for Lit and History, but Glasgow for Lit and Religious Studies). However, Edinburgh is definitely my top choice.
Hey everyone!

How are you all feeling? Is anyone applying for any courses with an early deadline (October 15th)? It’s a week to go, so just wanted to check in and see how you're feeling 😄

If you need some help with your personal statement, we have a whole forum dedicated to your questions (just don't post any part of your statement!), and some example statements in our PS library.

What are your main questions?

If you're not applying early, have you started looking around at booking any open days yet? If so, how are they going? Have you visited Edinburgh yet?

Good luck everyone :woo:

Hi, I’m currently studying maths, further maths, economics and chemistry. I’ve applied for economics and mathematics as I wish to pursue a career in an economics related field. I’m currently predicted A*A*A*A* and am interested in Edinburgh specifically due to their accredited economics department, fun city and historic uni. I won’t be going to any open days but am really hoping I receive an offer!

Hello I have 5 As at higher and I'm applying for Maths, I'm going to the open day next week so it'll be fun to see the campus and explore the city because. I'm also applying to St Andrews, Glasgow and Strath but I think Edinburgh currently is my top choice

Hey everyone, is anyone thinking of applying for social anthropology? I've also applied to St Andrews, Durham, Bristol and I've got my first offer from Manchester. Is anyone else applying at Durham, i'm not sure whether to rank Durham or Edinburgh higher if i don't get into St Andrews

Not too much honestly, just diid a couple of cs course, read a book on probability and some research papers, watched YouTube videos about interesting sequences, and did some data modelling. How about you?

Does anyone know when the CS/Maths offers from Edinburgh start to come out?

Oh nice, I did the Scottish maths challenge but I wrote my solutions using code and then I did the cyberfirst event, I also did my AH computing project a bit earlier (june), only implementing the UI js so I could include it in my PS cause I had to learn a library called customtkinter since I use python

Also my fifth uni would be warwick, it's the second best uni in England for CS after oxbrimp
