A level retakes

So I wanted to be a vet and had an offer from the university of Edinburgh but I did badly in my exams due to personal complications at home and now I'm stuck.

I want to retake my A levels but I wonder if I should wait until I have my retake grades as I'm worried my current A level grades (BCC) will make vet schools think that I'm too far off target and that an offer is better made to someone else. Am I wrong to think that?

Also, which vet schools in the uk accept retakes and what retake grades do they need? I know Edinburgh doesn't accept retakes and Liverpool needs A*AA but idk about the others.

Also I was looking at vet nursing as its a similar pathway but untimely I think it would be too understimulating for me and for much less pay than a vet (especially since its a four year course), would it be possible to join a vet nursing programme and with good grades transfer into a vet programme? if not, how would I become a vet after getting a vet nurse degree? do I have to go back to uni and do the full 5 year vet med course?

Which universities offer vet nursing and what are the grade requirements?

Please any advice, thank you

If you are retaking they won’t care what your current a level grades are except for RVC who want a B in biology at first sitting.
No you cannot transfer from vet nursing to med they are completely different degrees. Yes RVNs go back to uni and either do the 4 year accelerated program or standard 5 year. At Bristol after 2nd year some of the vet nurses apply and join the first year of the 5 year degree to start again as the two years of nursing give them the qualifications that they did get at a level. However, it’s worth noting you have to fund atleast one year of the degree if you do it this way (which is better than the full degree if you qualify as an RVN)
