How badly is my application to LSE BSc Politics and Economics downgraded with FM?

I do Maths, FM, Politics (Pred A*A*A), and want to apply to LSE Politics and Econ, but their website says 'If you’ve taken Mathematics, Further Mathematics and one other subject at A-level, this may be considered a less competitive combination.'
Is it thus not advisable to apply to the course with my A levels, and how badly would my A levels affect my application?

Well, you've said it yourself that it makes your application less competitive. Politics and Economics is one of the MOST competitive courses at LSE, so it would definitely be harder to get an offer if you effectively don't meet the requirements. There are many other courses at LSE that do accept Maths + FM + one other, so pick one of them instead perhaps. I'd also suggest reaching out other universities you're applying to (if you're applying to PolEcon/similar courses there) and reconfirming whether your combination is fine there as well.

You would need to study A-Level Economics in your gap year and achieve an A* or A grade and then apply. Otherwise consider another course at the LSE.
