1970 b2.Is that an okay UCAT score for 2026 entry?

I wanted to apply Southampton but turns out it is a high UCAT uni.Any thoughts on what would be the deciles like this year?

Hi, I'm afraid we are not going to be certain of the deciles until they are officially released. However, here are the predictions from the UCAT page Test Statistics 2025 | UCAT Consortium so you may be around the 6/7th decile. As for university options, some low UCAT options are Exeter, Cardiff which rely primarily on academics (for example the ratio in Exeter is 3:1 for academics: UCAT) and generally only use UCAT to differentiate between students with similar grades. Another option is Keele however they require the R&R form (its a bit like the personal statement where you say any experience, volunteering, etc). There are many more other unis like this and I would advise you to do your own research to apply strategically
Hopefully this helps xx

No idea what your GCSE and A level predicts are and whether contextual or otherwise....do post to thread for assistance

Basing on your UCAT alone, Plymouth, QUB (if your GCSE are 8/9 for 9 subjects), Leicester (if your GCSEs are strong 9s for 8 subjects), Keele, Sunderland, Brunel, UCLAN.

Not recommended for Southampton if non-contextual

What's your GCSE 8 and 7 in? If it's not core subjects like English, Chemistry, Bio and Maths then Leicester is one for consideration as discussed in first reply to you.

Just include your Eng Lang of 7 into GCSE and UCAT scoring for Leicester, do double check your score, 86 out of 96 should suffice you for interview invitation at Leicester. So another med school that should be alright for the current list mentioned for you. All the best!!!
