Entry requirements

I mainly got 6s and 3 7s in my GCSEs and I want to apply for medicine. If I get A* and 2 As and get a good UCAT score, would I have a chance of getting in. I take politics, psychology and english literature. I also had mitigating circumstances during my GCSEs

Hi, thanks for your interest in Medicine and Surgery MB BS (A100) at Newcastle!

We recommend you take a look at our School of Medicine Admissions Policy 2026 (PDF: 723.5) to find out more about our admissions criteria (in particular s.10, and Appendix s.1).

I hope this helps
Scott

Not quite as literal as you think. This thread is in the Newcastle forum and that medical school wants "AAA in any subject excluding General Studies, Use of Mathematics, World Development, Communication and Culture and Critical Thinking."
