Unsure about status of application and incorrect details

Hello, I applied for student finance for first year (starting this month) in early June, and after a month or so I received an email stating that I needed to send a letter:

'We need some more information to process your application. You need to send
us a signed and dated letter confirming any previous study you’ve done. You
need to tell us:
course title
higher education providers name and town
start and end date of the course
if you studied on a full-time or part-time basis
qualification gained or details of why you were unable to complete
your studies
or if you gained an exit qualification as you left the course early - which
qualification did you gain and how long was the course meant to be if you
completed the full course.

Please upload this cover letter and a copy of your certificate.

We can progress with your application once we have this information.'

After consulting with a couple of my friends who have previously applied for student finance and attended the same college and Access to HE course as I have, they concluded that I probably made a mistake on my application with the Access to HE course details and put a HE one instead. I haven't been able to get into contact with anyone about this nor can I check or change this information on the website and I cannot cancel/withdraw my application as there is an endless loop of calling, receiving a link to cancel, to being told to call to cancel. I've already uploaded evidence of my certificates but my application remains on the 'processing application' section. What should I do?

Hi there,

If you upload a cover letter explaining the previous course and qualification and copy of your certificate, we can then rectify this for you. Once received, this is currently taking 17 working days to be processed. Our timescales are estimates and can change daily up or down depending on how busy we are. If the team need anything else they will email you, it may go to your junk folder.

Once updated and approved, this will reflect online and then you will receive paperwork in the post.

Thanks,
Claire

Hi thanks for the reply, I've uploaded my certificate, will that be enough for it to be rectified or should I upload something else explaining the situation?

Hi there, if you also upload a cover letter explaining the situation for this to be reviewed. Thanks, Jason

Hi, apologies I’m confused about what you mean by this and where to upload it to, should it be in the evidence section of my application or as a reply here on the student room?

HI there,

You would upload it on your online account under the evidence upload option.

Thanks,
Claire
