Uni Options 2026

I’ve just completed my ucat- 2070 band 1

I fit the contextual criteria of Free school meals and first gen uni and I had the ucat bursary

I attend an independent sixth form on bursary and scholarships

GCSEs:
eng lang 9
english lit 9
re 9
spanish 9
bio 9
chem 9
maths 8
pe 8
physics 8
classics 8

L2 qualification:
further maths 7

Some of the unis I’m considering at the moment are: Edinburgh, Kings (probably most risky), Queen’s Uni Belfast, Newcastle, Liverpool

I really loved Edinburgh and it would probably be my top choice but would I still be able to apply there?

I would really appreciate any other uni suggestions too!

Hello, I’m also applying this year for 2026 entry and considering Edinburgh for medicine. I recently had a careers meeting and the advisor rang Edinburgh uni and asked if my ucat (2050 b1) is good enough to apply and in short they said yes as they have a lot of people apply with band2/3 and so having band 1 puts u in a better position. Therefore I would say go for Edinburgh :smile:
