Hi so i’m not sure whether I can apply to plymouth or not for medicine because my predicted grades are a* biology a* psychology and b in chemistry with a ucat of 1980 b2 and gcses 98888888876, can you let me know if I still can?

Hi, I saw some discourse that there are only 20-30 home places for dentistry this year due to the number of deferrals last year. I was just wondering if the same is going to happen for medicine or if the spaces are going to increase?

Hiya, great to hear you're interested in studying medicine at Plymouth!

As I don't study this course, I'd recommend taking a look at the medicine entry requirements site to give you the most current information. You can also email [email protected] to enquire about guidance, information, and advice on applications to study, which I would recommend doing as well.

If you have any questions about the city or university in the meantime, feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to help! Best of luck! 🙂

Hi there, thanks for your question and great to hear you're hoping to study dentistry! I don't study this subject so I wouldn't be too sure on the application processes or exact numbers for next year so I'd recommend reaching out to [email protected] who can give you the current numbers and information about this.

Best of luck! 🙌

Hey everyone!

How are you all feeling? Is anyone applying for any courses with an early deadline (October 15th)? It’s a week to go, so just wanted to check in and see how you're feeling 😄

If you need some help with your personal statement, we have a whole forum dedicated to your questions (just don't post any part of your statement!), and some example statements in our PS library.

What are your main questions?

If you're not applying early, have you started looking around at booking any open days yet? If so, how are they going? Have you visited Plymouth yet?

Good luck everyone :woo:

Has anyone already had an offer from Plymouth? Had the acknowledgement on 2/10.

Yeah they're fine. You should get an interview with those depending on predicteds and UCAT

Hi there, glad to see you got a response above about this! 😄

Unfortunately I'm not a student in this area so wouldn't be able to weigh in myself with any advice but if you need any more support or help, I'd recommend reaching out to [email protected] who can give you the most current information, as well as the Medicine Thread where there will be lots of students with more knowledge in this area 😊

Best of luck with your application and if you have any questions about the university or city, feel free to let me know!

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a great week 😎

If you've not checked out Plymouth for an open day yet, there is still time this year! We have another upcoming date (the last of 2025) on the 15th November- you can book now to register and secure your space! 👋

Can't make it? Don't worry! We have more coming up next year, including April and June, as well as offer holder days exclusively for those holding an offer to study here at Plymouth (they're even more in-depth and hands-on so it's great to attend both if possible as they're different in their offerings!) 😄

Don't forget to book now via the link above to secure your space, get the chance to tour the campus and city, hear from students and staff, as well as claiming that free pasty 😉

Best of luck with your applications! If you have any questions, drop them down below!

Yes, Unconditional offer made on Nov 5th. Hopefully you have heard something too now. What was your course choice?

Ecology and conservation. Probably a less popular one so I wouldn't worry.

Has anyone received an interview from plymouth for med so far?

Last year for Medicine, interview offers came out around Christmas (23rd of December I think), but I've heard Plymouth changes it from time to time.

Congratulations on your offer to study Ecology and Conservation! I study Zoology, which shares many models and course elements, so feel free to let me know if you have any questions at all and I'd be more than happy to help 😊
