Vet Med and Chem Eng Application

What should I do regarding my personal statement on UCAS? Should I make it Vet Med focused (1/5 choices, UCLan), or should I make it chemical engineering focused? I have emailed UCLan asking if they'd accept a direct second personal statement, no response as of yet.

If I were you, I would scrap your vet med application altogether. Vet med is not a back up option and vet schools will not take kindly to it being seen as such

I wouldn't say it's a back up option, it's more I've already achieved the grades and would love to do vet med but it's the only university I would meet requirements for

Universities want to see commitment because vet med is such an expensive degree to offer and we cost a lot to train. By your other choice being chem eng it looks like vet med is your back up rather than you picking a related degree with the hope of pursuing it at a later date
