I do AQA and personally really like biochem and ecology/evolution.
I liked everything in GCSE but it wasn't really human anatomy that sparked my interest. I liked the small bit we learn about the nervous system and hormones, but it really isn't comprehensive...

Hi, you do go into more depth on the nervous system in A Level (a level does cover hormones, but for example the effect of thyroid hormones are missing from AQA specification but you definitely learn insulin, ADH, a few new ones and touch upon plant hormones (with the same depth as GCSE)). There is definitely a nice amount of evolution and genetics which I found the easiest topics.

Hi I’m in year 12 doing eduqas. If anyone has any revision resources it would be much appreciated. I can’t find any for my exam board 😭 and yh I love everything about bio but find genetics and variation a bit challenging idk it just never clicked

Hi, I’m not really sure about any resources for Eduqas. For genetics and variation I found a lot of practice on punnet squares and statistics really helps and it’ll soon become automatic with those questions. For genetic variation e.g evolution and speciation practicing and checking model answers, comparing with mark scheme, should help develop structure.

Hi, biological molecules is an enjoyable topic for sure! It wasn’t my favourite as I actually preferred cell biology. I’m unfamiliar with resources for edexcel B I’m afraid but there are should be resources out on PMT and Save my Exams if you search by exam board.

Topic 4 exchange and transport is a good one, especially with fish and humans! I found insect gas exchange quite hard. I didn’t do edexcel B so I’m afraid I’m not aware of resources for it. But using your specification, PMT and asking your teachers for resources should help.

Hi, the cycles can be a little difficult to revise! But I made posters for them and lots of others did and if you stick them on your fridge at home it should soon become ingrained in your mind. Nerve responses I mostly did practice questions and flashcards for.

Yes, cell structure is a nice topic. I would recommend trying to see where it interconnects to other topics e.g. how the function of a ribosome is essential for protein synthesis, role of lysosomes in immunity, etc.
