I'm taking an unplanned gap year and need ideas on how to spend it. It wasn't my first plan but I'm trying to embrace it! I would have loved to travel but don't have anyone to travel with. Will be getting a job but what other things can I do to also make the year enjoyable and get the best out of it

Hi,
A gap year is a great time to spend learning new skills, exploring hobbies, and gaining experiences you may not have time for during university. Some ideas include:
• Volunteering locally or abroad •Taking short trips or day trips •Joining clubs or communities • Doing online courses to improve your CV • Working on personal projects like writing, art, or starting a small business • Shadowing or interning in a field you’re interested in • Gaining work experience through part-time work which you’ve mentioned • Focusing on self-growth through reading, journaling, fitness, learning a new language etc • Trying new experiences or picking up practical skills

i’m taking a gap year as well! honestly i’m going to spend a lot of the year working and picking up new hobbies, and solo travelling - but i think no matter what you do you’ll enjoy it a lot as long as you keep busy
