Query on study life at Imperial College

A question other students in Imperial, studying engineering in Imperial College, would there be enough time to do parallel studies (i.e. another language)? I wonder how busy students are on their own courses.

If you want to study another language you can do it as part of Imperial's Horizons programme: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/horizons/

It's offered to all students for every year of their course with it being compulsory for some years of study (though there are some exceptions for certain courses for certain years that you would need to check out)

It's essentially a dedicated slot within your timetable where you can do humanities or language-related subjects like psychology, spanish, philosophy, etc.

Im only joining this year so I cant give u my personal experience with managing workload/study life but from what I heard if you are enrolled onto a language Horizon modules you'll need to dedicate 3 hours of study to it whereas the other modules are 1 to 2 hours

People manage. Language courses are definitely more work than the other Horizons modules but if it were impossible then nobody would be doing the year abroad courses.
