Post grad loan

Hi I received an initial payment on a PG loan last year as I was studying a post grad. Due to financial commitments I had to withdraw from the course as I had to increase my hours at work and it was too much to juggle both. I’m more financially stable now but SFE won’t let me apply for another loan. Is there anything I can do?

Hi there,

If you've already studied or began a Postgraduate Masters then you'd need to apply via post for a new course. If you did enrol and begin the course you would only be eligible for funding for a new course if you previously withdrew due to reasons outwith your control.

Thanks, Jason

Thanks Jason, what are the details for the postal application and how do I complete a postal application?

Hi there,

You can find the application for Postgraduate Master's on our website here https://www.gov.uk/masters-loan/apply
You would complete this and post it back to the address on the form, with your Compelling Personal Reasons (CPR) evidence. We would suggest including a detailed cover letter explaining the situation. The team will review this and confirm if its accepted or not to award the finance.

Thanks,
Claire
