How do contextual offers work?

Hi everyone, my postcode area makes me eligible for some form of contextual offer/grade reduction for most of the universities I’m looking at, but I’m not too sure how it actually works. Do they automatically see my postcode and run it through a system? Or am I supposed to contact them outside of my application so that they know? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you 🙏

Yes - if you meet whatever makes you eligible at that Uni, as your application details are transferred from UCAS, their data system automatically flags your application - you do not need to do anything else. If you are made an offer it will automatically be the reduced grade offer.
