I worked in a primary school running after-school clubs, and then I volunteered at a hospital. I also applied but ultimately decided against being a bereavement volunteer at a local hospice.

Hi,

I’m not a psychology student myself, but from what I know, getting work experience in mental health charities, care homes, hospitals, or research labs can be really useful. Shadowing psychologists is also a great way to see what the work is like day-to-day. Even volunteering or helping out in community projects can give you valuable skills and insights for your future career.

Hope this helps,

hi! found it on linkedin! however it is a fee based internship - but you learn therapy skills and then get real clients from across the world to give coaching to where they get free 6 sessions, and you get experience. but for a free option, they do full time internships as well, where its very selective, but once you get selecte its a 30 day internship initially with 30 days training and then after that you are free to see as many clients you want, whenever you want - so keep an eye out on their page Overcome UK
