GCSE mocks

If I have mocks in a month how many past papers should I be doing for each subject?

It’s important to consider that you will need past papers left over for your actual exams if you’re someone who memorises past paper questions really well. And you will not have covered all topics at this stage, so I would focus on doing topic-based questions on the topics that are going to come up in your mocks instead of only completing around half or 3/4 of a past paper.

Hi there,

Only you will know what subjects you are weak on and where past papers will be useful. Topic based questions may be more useful, as another user mentioned, because past papers will be reused by your school at some point. I’d avoid past papers if you memorize the answers easily. What year are you in? if in year 10 it is probably best to avoid, but if in year 11, and along with your schools advice, they can of course be useful at this stage 😊

Kind regards, Jenifer (Kingston rep)
