What are my chances for Leicester 2026

I have a UCAT score of 2220 band 1 and I'm non contextual
GCSEs: 9 - bio/psychology 8 - chem/geo/RS (was taken in year 10 so idk if it counts) 7-maths/phsyics/both englishs/ 6-french
Do you think I have a chance of getting an interview?

Realistically, with a UCAT of 2220 and non-contextual status, Leicester is a long shot for interview

is this because of GCSEs? because the UCAT is apparently the equivalent of 2990 for last year but idk as it could obviously be inaccurate

Hi, you are likely in 9th decile (top 10%) of UCAT applicants in 2025, subject to decile confirmation by UCAT. Regardless, Leicester doesn't use deciles, as they have their own points table for UCAT.

Leicester scoring scheme - to be invited to an interview - for applicants with predicted A levels: 48 points UCAT and 48 for GCSEs. The maximum is 96 points.

For UCAT, you would get 44 (out of 48 max) points. You can calculate your GCSE points, see page 7 of this document:

my GCSEs would be 38 points, giving me a total of 82 points but I'm just not sure if this score is good enough as I have nothing to compare it to?

Every applicant is in the same boat, no one has a crystal ball 🙂

Last year, the cutoff was something like 53 out of 64, so you could assume that 82 out of 96 will get you an interview, but it all depends on the strength of the cohort each year.
