Physics A level

If you studied physics at A level, what GCSE grade did you get in it and how difficult did you find the A level counterpart?

Only wondering as everyone says A level physics is extremely hard so I just want to know if people who got A*s and As at GCSE also think it’s a high level of difficulty.

I had an A GCSE, but i found A level physics a bit tougher than the other A level subjects, especially in A2. If you don't really like math i would suggest go for something else. My teacher wasn't great as well and i liked to do biology and chemistry more maybe thats why i found physis harder .

I got a 9 in gcse physics (166/200) and started a level physics working at a B before I dropped it (for reasons other than its difficulty). It is a very difficult subject. The maths isnt too hard from what i know (nothing much above gcse level) but the calculations have a lot of steps to them so it’s easy to make mistakes. A real difference i saw between gcse and a level was that you dont just need to know that something happens, you need to know why.
