Dentistry with average UCAT score?

Hi, I've just done my ucat and got 2000 Band 3.

Is there any realistic dent unis i can apply to with an uncompetative ucat score? I am eligible for the Newcastle PARTNERS programme so I am definitely considering Newcastle as one of my options, but dont qualify for any other type of contextual offers at other unis (except Sheffield lowered offer to AAB due to B or higher in EPQ). However, another main issue is predicteds are also low BCC (hoping to bump them up). If this year doesnt work out, I will definitely be reapplying. 😔

GCSEs: 999988765 (6 in Physics, 5 in Engineering)
Predicteds: BCC
UCAT: 2000 B3
Work Exp: volunteering, shadowing dental prac.

Any help appreciated thanskdsdfdk

icl with ur predicted grades and ucat score combined, i'd not apply for dent this year. you're better off getting all As at alevel and reapplying next year after resitting ucat. ur predicted grades are the main thing bringing you down as there are manyyy applicants with higher predicted grades yk, so you won't be favoured. sorry if this wasnt what you wanted to hear but achieved grades will defo be a better boost for you. maybe apply to dental health this year instead? no reason to quit applying, just look at alternative dent courses for this year, and if your alevels are good then reapply

Hey 2000 is an ok UCAT score. Btw what’s the difference between ncl partners and contextual? Did you have to do their summer school to be classified as partners?

What sort of extracurriculars and things did you do for the NAQ please. Liverpool is one of my top choices and I need an idea of what do for an interview?

Liverpool like lots of extra curricula - sports, art, baking, music so it demonstrates you can balance your work and outside interests. Volunteering is a big part of the application. My daughter is at Liverpool and she volunteered at a care home for a year as well as being a young Brownies leader and running the SEN lunchtime club at school. A part time customer facing job really helps too. Basically you need to be able to talk to all different types of people and communication skills are really important for a successful application. Good luck its a great dental school.

I re-did my UCAT this year and got a score of 1850, I have gotten AAA in a -levels for bio chem and maths and 9s and 8s in GCSES, what unis are more relying on gcse and alevels instead of ucat?
