I did Salters Nuffield for Biology. I'm imagining you will currently be studying Topics 1 and 2 so you could do some reading about Cystic Fibrosis and heart disease (Google Scholar is useful for this)

I found that doing MOOCs were really useful for widening my understanding. Try and find some books about medical topics that interest you - your local library could be a good start

In terms of experience you could ask local hospitals if you could shadow a doctor there or you could try and join St John Ambulance or NHS cadets (although it may be too late for this year, I don't know for certain) as you will learn skills and have the opportunity to go out on events and treat patients.

Hope this helps

Adding on what flowers and DerDrac said
Chemistry (I do OCR A) use the specification as a checklist (OCR provide one), I reccomend machemguy on YouTube and websites are cognito, physics and maths tutor and MME
Tips on chemistry is learn the content and use active revision technique. The main tip is to constantly practice past paper questions even the ones you have done in the past (focus on the ones you lose marks on)!
Work experience not mentioned is that sometimes your sixth form may have connections to your local hospitals etc you can do work experience/shadowing there or organise it yourself by reaching out! Also Brighton have a virtual work experience as well

Wider reading is just exploring your subject outside of A Levels. So for Medicine this can be as simple as reading BBC health articles or watching a medical documentary, to doing a science Olympiad or research project like an essay competition. It shows unis that you actually have an interest in the subject further than A Levels.

For work experience I’d email your local GPs and ask if they offer/will be willing to take a prospective medical student to shadow for a day. Do the same with local hospitals (they may have a page on their website or email dedicated to work experience / volunteering). A lot of people volunteer/work in care homes.

this is more uni/ medicine related, but try to see if you can join access programs for the unis you might want to go to (i think for most you need to fit a certain criteria, but do look into it.) you can get guaranteed interviews and lowered entry requirements which will help you so much next year. i wish someone had told me about them when i was in year 12
