Oxford Undergrad Accommodation
Hi i'm applying to Oxford for History undergrad and am having a hard time finding a college with reliable accom.
i want to preface this by saying i am quite of a germaphobe so i really can't see myself being able to have a room with a shared bathroom.
most colleges seem to use the ballot system to assign housing and a large amount of the options don't have ensuites so my worry is being placed somewhere with a shared bathroom
is anyone able to recommend some colleges in oxford with nice-ish accom and ensuites? how is accom like in general? a shared kitchen would also be nice but im aware a lot of the housing is graded and therefore has no kitchen equipment.

It’s pretty unlikely that any college will offer guaranteed en-suite for the entire duration of the degree, and the en-suite rooms tend to go to older years rather than first years. I think you will have to assume you will need to share a bathroom at some stage.

Worcester College has 72% ensuite rooms with good kitchen access for undergrads! However, it is one of the more popular colleges, so the chances of being pooled to another college pre- or post-interview can be quite high...

Worcester is the one for you -- worth noting that access to an en-suite is heavily dependent on which room tier you choose, and they cost different amounts. Christ Church has some first year en suites too, and Keble in Sloane Robinson. Can't remember any others off the top of my head

St Hughs can give you a guaranteed ensuite on site for all years if you have proof of a medical condition for which you require one. Everyone also has access to kitchens

Same applies to St Catz, and everyone gets an ensuite in second year regardless. Some also get it in third year if at the top of the ballot
