attending classes in other subjects at oxford

I'm starting at oxford next month and was wondering what the policy is with sitting in on classes or lectures in other departments aside from my own? is it allowed and if so how can i find out what their timetabling is? thanksss
I believe Oxford is similar to Cambridge in that lectures are technically open to all members of the university in principle, with possible exceptions (e.g. I imagine all medicine lectures are closed to non-medics). I doubt you will be able to take tutorials, labs, or classes in other subjects though, just lectures. That said it's probably something to confirm with your tutor/DoS once you get there and/or the lecturer for that lecture.

You can attend any lecture and the timetable is published online.
Classes and seminars will only be for students taking those options.

As above, Oxford Uni regulations state that any member of the University can attend lectures in any subject. Always best and polite to check with the lecturer first. That said, Oxford courses are very intensive and challenging and although this sounds like a great idea, in practice you will find that your own course takes up most of your time.
