Job and Visa Issue.

Hi everyone,

I’m in a really stressful situation and hoping someone here might have advice or has been through something similar.
I’m currently on a Student visa that expires on 30 January 2026.
I’ve finished my course and am currently awaiting results.
I’ve already used my Graduate visa from August 2022 to August 2024, so I can’t apply for it again.
I previously had a job offer from a Big Four accounting firms company, but they withdrew it after realising that because I’ve used the Graduate visa already, I now only have 2 years of ‘new entrant’ eligibility left, whereas their programme required 3 full years of new entrant status under the Skilled Worker visa route.
This has left me panicking because I now have about 5 months to secure a new job offer from a UK employer willing to sponsor me for a Skilled Worker visa, and I need to get my visa application approved before my Student visa expires.
I don’t want to leave the UK and come back later I want to switch visas from within the UK.
Does anyone know:
Any graduate schemes or entry-level roles that still recruit and give offers by December?
Any schemes that have start dates in January or March, rather than the usual September intake?
Any advice or strategies to speed up the job search and sponsorship process within 5 months?
I feel really disheartened right now, but I’m determined to make it work. Any leads, advice, or success stories would mean so much.
Thank you

Hi, do you mind telling me which Big4 that was ? And I know someone in the exact same position you but they’re applying from outside of the UK - she is focusing on graduate schemes that offer salaries above the 41.7k threshold so mostly banking, analysts, and some consulting. Check on Bright Network and Grad cracker they post all the graduate programmes as they go live

Hey, just came across this thread - I'm in the exact same position as you where I've already used up my Graduate Visa and really want to land a sponsored job by January 2026. I can't PM you for some reason, would you mind PMing me? Would love to help each other out!

Sorry to hear this ☹️ I suggest you check out Newton grad scheme as they offer £ 45k+ and have flexible start dates. Also have a look at LEK consulting. the PSC, Forviz Mazars and OC&C (don't know if they're open still but its worth a try)
