Question, my university no longer offers the January intake. I studied 23/24 but need to repeat the year for MH Nursing starting September 25/26 after a leave of absence due to health. Have had no funding for this year at all.
First I was told everything was fine, I'm getting full maintenance and tuition fees. Then right as my course starts I get told that I can't change cohort to September despite it being fine. Then I got another email saying I can only be paid on a ridiculous January schedule in the same intake despite my university no longer offering that intake. I could start in September but not getting paid until January.
Then I got told that this was wrong by my university after they spoke with you on the fifth and to just change it to 25/26. The course is: Nursing (Mental) with Registered Nurse Status(Yr 1 & 2 students only) Full time
Doesn't say September or January.
What I was doing before: Nursing (Mental) with Registered Nurse Status January start Full time (suspended)
They're different courses that have been totally revamped.
Then I got told today is that I do Semester 2 in January when people from September do it and use the August funding from the January payment scheme for Semester 1 which is just...
What the hell? I've been told so many different things by different people in different places. I even got told a gift year isn't a thing for Exception courses. I can't help that I had to take a leave of absence or that my uni no longer does January intake. I got told that there was zero way to fix this except when you look it up on here it appears your university can move you and it's not on SFE? You just need to withdraw from the previous course? That's so much conflicting information.
Please help. If I changed to adult nursing would that fix the issue with September?
And yes, I checked what would happen with both SFE and my uni and they said it would be fine because it's an exception course.
