applying to sixth forms in nw ldn

I've heard Woodhouse and St.Dominic's are the best ones near my area but I've heard they're super competitive and i feel like applying my grades would b too ambitious
I slacked off sooo much in year 10 and I properly flunked my summer mocks.
My predicted grades are:
English literature 7
English language 7
Maths 8
Bio 7
Chem 7
Physics 7
Spanish 7
Psychology 7
Latin 7
RS 7
History 7

as for my summer mocks... 💀
English literature 4
English language 4
Maths 5
Bio U (absent that day)
Chem 4
Physics 5
Spanish 6
Psychology 3
Latin 1
RS 3
History 3

So my predicted grades r a lot higher but idk if my skl is gna change them but they've been the same since year 9 when we started gcse content.

my skl does October/Nov mocks so I'm gna study like hell for those and make a comeback

Do they ask for the results of our first set of mocks or the ones we did in y10?

Hey first of all your predicted grades are really good!! Also I have never seen a school set predicted grades based on year 10 summer mocks as people usually go up multiple grades so as long as you study constantly and effectively, your November mocks should be great. As for Woodhouse and St Dominic, while they are really great schools and have amazing ratings don't assume other schools are bad or not as good. Multiple schools around are also really good and are rated outstanding by Ofsted and others. Such as Wren Academy (Few stops from Woodhouse if i am not mistaken), St Gregorys, Alexandra Park school and a couple others. So while Woodhouse and St Doms are super good with great results other schools that are not as popular are also really good.

Plus schools do not ask for mock grades unless you do not have predicted grades (which you do) and predicted grdaes are not based on year 10 mocks as I said but it will still be best to ask your school to make sure (though I highly doubt it) But don't be disheartened or anything you're just starting out year 11 so you'll be absolutely fine as lots of people inmprove a lot by the timethe real exams comes along.(For example,I went from a 5 in english in the November mocks and got an 8 in the real exam)
What A levels are you planning on doing though?

Though ensure you apply to Woodhouse and St Doms early as there application dates closes a bit earlier than most schools. Good luck and dont hesitate to ask anymore questions!!!
