IRP Help (French)

Hi everyone! So my teachers have told me to start planning and learning about what I want to talk about in my IRP so that they can look into the topic and I need help.

I want to do it on the French Revolution, as it’s my Paper 2 for History A level so I’m comfortable with the content and only have to focus on translation really (It’s also my favourite period of History ever). I was wondering if the question: “To what extent was Thermidorian rule detrimental to France ,and in particular it’s economy, during the French Revolution?” Was too vague or in depth.

At one side I feel like speaking solely about economic impacts can be quite repetitive and though I know the content it’s just a bit boring for examiners to hear about after a while. On the other hand I worry that once I use all of my stats like the 600 billion livres necessary to buy a loaf of bread (true fact) I won’t have enough to talk about and bring in for the discussion.

I do love this topic and the financial side of it but I’m just worried the question isn’t going to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I hope everyone’s studies are going well.
