UCLs BA in early childhood education

hi! im interested in working at nurseries or schools and ive looked at university college london, university of leeds, and kingston universities courses on early childhood education/child studies/primary education with QTS. i was just wondering whether these degrees are extremely competitive?
the teachers around me say the degrees arent that competitive but when i look them up they say they are extremely competitive. i dont have predicted grades yet but with how the year is going i'll likely get an A*BB/ABB which is in line with my grade prerequisites for the courses at all three of the universities. i also have a lot of experience working with children and volunteering so am wondering if that plays a factor...

i hope someone can help me! TIA

Hi @chloeg08

It's great to hear that you are interested in the courses at Kingston!

You can find the entry requirements on the course page website. For example the requirements for the following courses are
Education: Early Years Teaching and Learning BA (Hons) | Kingston University London 80-96 UCAS points
Primary Education (QTS) BA (Hons) | Kingston University London 112-128 UCAS points

Your predicted grades A*BB/ABB would be the equivalent of 136/128 UCAS points, so you definitely meet the grade requirements. You can work out what your grades are worth in UCAS points through this link Calculate your UCAS Tariff points | UCAS

It also sounds like you have great relevant experience that you can mention on your personal statement.

You could also consider visiting us at an open day to get an idea of what you will be doing on the course so you can tailor your application accordingly and speak to students and staff about your application.

If you have any questions about Kingston feel free to ask

I hope this helps and good luck
