Finalllyyyy! Me too I just sent mine in two days ago and I couldn’t find anyone, what trusts did you put as your preference? And how did you find the personal statement?

I have put Hounslow and Croydon. 3000 characters seemed so less for the personal statement, it took me more time to shorten it to the word limit than to write. Still it feels like I have missed out on so much important information.

Does anyone know how much people are selected for each borough? I chose Greenwich and Bromley too which seems a popular option!

I think it differs borough to borough and it said somewhere in the recruitment pack, I’d say 16-20 are the numbers I’ve seen floating around, 20 definitely seems to be on the higher end, I think somewhere in the mid teens is common

Literally! I spent so much time deliberating what to take out and word swaps to make just to get it to fit

That's really cool. How did you find out about NHS Talking therapies and decide on your career path?

Honestly it was just a Google search of psychological roles because there’s so much variation and seeing what roles fit what I wanted to do for people and fit my strengths, how did you find talking therapies?

omg, I've been going crazy on my own, so glad there's this page. I applied two weeks ago and check the portal day and night, so nervous but excited to hear back.

Reply 25

I also applied and the current status is "application under assessment" for me.

Similar to you tbh. I went on the NHS Jobs website to apply for psychology related jobs after I graduated from uni, and it came up.

Those who have applied, are you a recent graduate or are you changing career?

hopefully, so anxious about the status still being "under assessment". Was reading through the previous intake's post, seems like some don't hear back until the very end of October.

Hi, i graduated 3 years ago, so not a recent graduate and I'm changing career. I currently work as a special needs teaching assistant in a mainstream secondary school. The plan was to always go into a mental health career but it just took some time to gain the necessary experience and research what roles I could do. What about you?

I also graduated 3 years ago. What degree did you do if you don't mind me asking?

I'm thinking we hear back very end of this month as well. If I get any updates, I'll let the rest of you know.
