Applying to Astrophoria Oxford Foundation Year Chemistry 2026

Hi, i’m currently in year 13 and considering applying for the foundation year in chemistry. I’m currently predicated A* in chemistry A* in maths and DM in applied science. Worried about my GCSEs as there are only 4s-5s. I meet the categories 1,2,3. I also have done the cambridge chemistry challenge and the chemistry olympiad with both getting a bronze in. I am also on the student council at college and help out a lot. is it worth applying?

Hello! Yes, if you've got the predicted grades and meet the eligibility criteria, you can definitely apply. I'm not sure if you'll see this in time, but there is also a webinar today (12th November) at 5.30pm just for ppl interested in Chemistry, Engineering and Materials Science. You can sign up here: https://foundationyear.ox.ac.uk/event/course-focus-chemistry-engineering-and-materials-science
