How will a resit affect maintenance loan?

Hi,
My grand daughter is having to resit her second year having failed 4 of the 6 required assignments set during the second year. She's having to retake the 4 assignments that she failed but will be at uni full time over the course of the year. How will this affect her maintenance loan. Obviously, if it is reduced she will not be able to cover her living costs for the duration of the year.

Hi kinshipcarer,

If it is a full year repeat, she would receive the full support as normal. If the university considers this to be a part year repeat, the entitlement would be calculated to confirm how much entitlement would be awarded based on the duration and intensity of her attendance.
