Uni help / apprenticeship

I’m currently studying Biology, Chemistry, and Maths in school, and I’m also doing a native language A-level externally. My predicted grades are ABB (Bio, Chem, Maths) and an A in the language, but if I had more time I could probably get an A*.

I asked my school if I could drop Chemistry, but they’ve told me I have to continue with it. Honestly, I just want to focus on Biology, Maths and my language, because I think I can get A*AB in those three. I don’t care if I end up with a U in Chemistry.

I’m applying for Accounting and Finance at Nottingham, Manchester, and Birmingham. None of them require Chemistry.

My questions are:
If I end up with AABU, will unis only look at the AAB, or will the U in Chemistry affect my chances?
Do apprenticeships care about a U in a 4th A-level? Do I even need to declare it?

I’m not applying to Oxbridge or anything that needs 4 A-levels, so does it actually matter if I just ignore Chemistry and focus on my 3 strong subjects?

The reason that your school wont let you continue with just two A levels is that this would not be a full-time study-load and as a part-time student they would therefore receive no funding for you.

Yeah but does it matter if i just don’t consider chemistry as one of my subjects and just let myself get a U

How do you think your school will react to that.

They probably won’t be happy, but I don’t really care because I’ll get my top three A-level grades and I’ll be able to get my apprenticeship or uni requirements. Even if I did get like a c the uni still wouldn’t look at it because my top three grades will be higher.
