Original Passport for EU25N?

Hi there

My son is starting in Loughborough next week. We want to submit the EU25N for Fee Support. He is Irish. The form says that he must supply his original passport but the instructions also say "any documents you send must be original or a certified copy.

Which is it?

He's moving to the UK on Sunday and needs his passport for travel and the Uni also says he needs it for registration so we can't submit the application.

Also, the first fee instalment is due in mid October. If the application hasn't been processed yet, should we go ahead and pay it ourselves? Will we get refunded?

Thanks

Hi there,

We can accept a clear certified copy of his passport if he is applying for EU Tuition Fees only. If sending it certified he would need to complete this form also https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/67d85b1c4e1deef5a8c15ef9/eu_certifier_checklist_form_2526_o.pdf

Application take 6-8 weeks to process.

Thanks,
Claire

Ok thanks. So we will need to make the 1st payment ourselves (as the fees are due in October) then and then the grant will cover the remaining fees. Is that correct?

Hi lushous3,

I would just advise the university that the application is still processing. The payment will be backdated once it is approved. Just to confirm it isn't a grant payment, it is the Tuition Fee Loan therefore it is repayable.

Thanks, Clare
