what should i do

I got an A in my y12 maths mock and they were going to have two tests when we got back to see if you could move predicteds up if u werent happy with ur mocks. Ive done both of them and even though the first one went really well and i probably got an a* but the other went dreadful and am expecting a C. I want to do economics at Warwick so i need an A* in maths but my school rarely gives it out or moves your mock score so I genuinely dont know what to do I know I'm capable of getting it and i really dont want to take a gap year and apply with my real grades

Talk to your school about what else can you do to maybe bump up your predicted grades, but do accept that it's likely that they will not bump up your grades.

Is it just Maths that is one grade below entry requirement? If so, you can apply to an "aspirational" choice - e.g.: Warwick and see what happens. Obviously this is very risky and not too likely to work, but a few lucky people each year manage to get on their aspirational choices so it doesn't hurt to try.

Failing all of that, you can either accept that you'll have to take a gap year to apply/reapply to Warwick, or alternatively accept that a uni is a uni is a uni and it doesn't matter which one you end up at, and apply to 4 other universities that match your predicted A-levels and decide to be happy wherever you end up.
