Can I get Masters Loan if I transfer off an integrated masters course?

I am going into my 3rd year of an integrated masters (MSci) course, and I have been receiving funding according to this course so far (including my incoming 3rd year).

If I wanted to transfer from MSci to BSc and graduate at the end of my third year with a BSc, would I still be able to get a masters loan if I then do a postgrad/MSc? I have seen mixed answers online, where some say if you were ever on an MSci course you are ineligible for Master loans, while the student finance website says that only actually having an integrated masters makes a student ineligible for a Masters Loan. However would this also apply in my case, where I have so far been on the MSci course and want to transfer to a BSc, graduate with a BSc and then do a separate MSc?

Hi there,

Can you confirm if you hold any qualifications currently?

Thanks,

Hi,

If you change course to the BSc then you should be fine to apply for PGM in future. If you stayed on integrated master's course and received this qualification then you wouldn't be eligible for PGM in future.

Thanks,
Claire
