Degree apprentiship second degree SFE funding?

If I completed a degree apprenticeship in Vet Nursing and then took an undergrad in Veterinary Medicine (to become a vet surgeon), would it be funded by SFE?

Hi vetmedhope,

Would the Veterinary Surgeon course be graduate entry?

Thanks, Clare

Hi, I don't mind which it would be. Is there a difference between the funding in this scenario if i were to take an undergraduate normal 5 year degree vs a 4 year graduate entry degree? Thanks

Hi there,

Were you funded by us for the degree apprenticeship?

Thanks,

No, the employer funds it, I do not take out any loan from SFE. (Also i forgot to mention: upon completion, the veterinary nursing diploma would be the equivalent of an holding undergraduate degree)

Hi vetmedhope,

I have checked both undergraduate and graduate entry veterinary courses that lead to veterinary surgeon qualifications and both are treated as an exception to previous study and equal level qualification rules if you are not already registered in that field. The Tuition Fees would need to be self funded however, you can apply for the Maintenance Loan and any supplementary grants if applicable.

Thanks, Clare
