Student loan applicability for switching to integrated master

Hello, I have a question about my applicability to extend my student loans length.
I am studying electrical engineering and will be going into my 3rd year and have been given the option of completing an integrated master.
However I had to resit first year meaning I’ve already used my course length plus one and was wondering this this would prevent me from having my final year covered if I were to switch to an integrated masters?

Hi LoganWilliams03

Can you confirm which year you would be entering of the course and how many years in duration you have attended so far? Can you also confirm the total duration of the new course?

Thanks, Clare

hello, I will be entering the game 3rd year of my course in 2 weeks, the integrated masters would mean the duration of the course would increase to 4 years. I have attended 3 years at the course as I had to resit a year, doing first year twice and recently completing second year.

Hi Logan,

Every student is entitled to funding for the length of their course plus one additional year, minus any previous study. Based on what you advised the calculation should be 4+1-3=2 years left of funding. This would then cover you for the 3rd and 4th year so you should be fine. Nothing is definite till you apply and we can review this for you.

Thanks,
Claire
