low ucat med school/ medicine alternatives

hello, just wondering id i can get advice on which unis i should shortlist considering my stats.

gcses: 9988887777
9 chem
9 physics
8 bio
8 english lang
8 maths
8 re
7 english lit
7 history
7 further maths
L2D (7/8) health and social care

predicted 3A* in bio chem maths

ucat 1830 b2
vr 580
dm 600
qr 650

so far, i have looked at keele and tailored my ps to try and fit their criteria, hull york, east anglia, and aston. if there are any more that have a low emphasis on ucat, please let me know.

also, does anyone have any suggestions for what i should put as my 5th option? have looked at pharmacy and biomed so far

hey, sunderland wants good wex and i dont really have that. ive only worked in a pharmacy and a primary school for a week each.

Have a look at KMMS especially if you come from a low performing school, they use contextualised GCSEs to select interview. Beware that their interviews are very abstract and your 3A* won’t give you any advantages as they don’t use predicted at all. Your current options are pretty much perfect for your applicant profile but beware of UEA as they use your ucat score post-interview (meaning… interview score + ucat score) to make offers.

hey, i ended up choosing leicester(i know my chance is low but i live there so im applying anyway), aston, hull york, and keele. Because of the post interview selection for UEA (as you mentioned) i realised my chances are still pretty slim.
